2008 Lecture
Series
The Foundation annually sponsors three lectures that are open to the public
at no cost. Lectures are on a variety of local history topics. They are
held at the East Hempfield Municipal Building, 1756 Nissley Rd. in Landisville
at 7:00 p.m. There is ample seating and the room is
handicapped accessible. Reservations are not necessary.
This year's remaining lectures are:

September 16th
– Dr. John K. Kreider, a retired
family physician from East Petersburg will speak about being the 8th
generation to live on the family homestead. The farm was deeded from
William Penn’s sons, (Thomas, Richard and John). Dr. Kreider will
display memorabilia and has many interesting tidbits to share with us.

November
18th
– History of the Lionel
Corporation will be presented by Ted Symonds, owner of Cool Trains, Toys
and Hobbies located in Salunga. The Lionel Corporation has been in
business for over one hundred years.
