Jodi Marrow volunteer docent

The Homestead is inviting persons with an interest in history and who enjoy speaking with people to become a docent (tour guide).

     For the first few months, a new docent would train with a seasoned docent. Usually a docent is on duty once a month on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon from 1 to 4 p.m.

     Current docents say it is a lot of fun to speak with the visitors and hear their comments about the house. We sincerely hope that you will consider helping us meet this nead!

     Students 14 to 18 are encouraged to become docents. High school students searching for a graduation project can provide a community service with the Herr House.
